This 4-star retreat isjust a 5-minute drive from the A1. It has a gym, swimming pool, spa treatments and original 17th-century features.

Redworth Hall Hotel is a Jacobean manor house 8 miles from Darlington and 20 miles from Durham.

The many original features including the magnificent Great Hall, an ornate staircase, lounges and attractive bedrooms.

Restaurant 1744 offers a seasonal brasserie menu in a relaxed atmosphere. A full English breakfast is available in the morning.

The hotel day starts from hour 15:00 and ends at 11:00.
